CoLibrì covers are made with a clear, transparent and resistant 30% ISCC-CERTIFIED RECYCLED PLASTIC. CoLibrì covers are made from 770 tons of plastic, whereas 230 tons have been replaced by ISCC-certified materials via mass balanced and contributes to reducing dependency on fossil resources.

[2] What is the difference between CoLibrì covers and other protective books covers?
Unlike other commonly used protective covers, CoLibrì eco-friendly book covers are not glued to the book, therefore the book's cover and the material of the CoLibrì cover can be easily separated when it is time to recycle them.
That is a crucial factor since when recycling materials, as each individual material to be isolated from others.
CoLibrì covers are made with 30% ISCC-CERTIFIED RECYCLED PLASTIC which is recyclable material after use. Other protective book covers are also made of recyclable plastics such as Polyester and Polypropylene. However, since they are stuck to the book's cover, they cannot be recycled; you cannot recycle plastic that has paper stuck to it. Other covers are made of vinyl, which is very difficult to recycle.

[3] How about recycling the covers? How do I do that?
CoLibrì ECO Covers are recyclable, just like conventional polyethylene covers. Their material also contains 30% ISCC-certified recycled material, allocated through the mass-balance approach, helping reduce the use of virgin fossil resources and support a more circular approach to plastic production.
Most curbside recycling programs do not currently accept flexible plastics such as films and covers. CoLibrì ECO Covers should therefore be recycled according to the plastic recycling facilities and collection programs available in your area. Where accepted, clean and dry covers can be collected with other compatible flexible plastic materials and sent for recycling.
